«NamNamBulu - 'Distances' - Infacted Recordings

An act that has been hiding just below the radar to many, NamNamBulu are not to be undermined in their sound. 'Distances' brings with it several songs featured on the prior Blind? EP, with some very pleasing changes.

For starters, the production and engineering on the album has come a long way from prior material. Where vocals featured on the previous work seemed rather overbearing, they have been levelled out with this release to mix well into each of the songs. Henrik Iversen's unique vocals offer the group a fresh sound from any other synthpop/electropop acts out there. Musically, 'Distances' is solid, and pleasing to listen to. Melodic and enjoyable, it maintains a steady flow from beginning to end without a noticable weak point throughout the disc.

Fans of NNB will be pleased with this release, and the group are paving their way to being a successful name in the industry. Those not familiar with should take the time to experience the sound. Additionally, those who are able to come across the Memories MCD are in for a treat featuring a nicely arranged set of remixes, each highlighting some of the newer up and comers into the scene. Kudos to the group for the effort put into making a well produced and promising release. Hopefully, more will be soon to come.
